Are you trying to stay dry in the tub?
Are you asking too much of yourself?
You love how it feels to be in the tub?
You want to be dry?
You are convinced you can be in the tub and be dry too. Okay, so you stand up and you're only wet to your calves. Are you going to get out of the tub dry? It feels good, you say, to be in the tub. Are you 'in' the tub? Isn't 'in the tub' for being wet? For sinking in up to your neck and soaking? Does it really feel good to be in the tub with as little water as possible, naked, standing up? And what is that doing for you? Ok, get rid of the water, stay dry. Now. What are you doing in the tub?
Get out de tub, foo.
You can't bend reality to suit your wants. You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear, and you can't make anything out of standing in the bathtub dry. Use the tub for it's purpose. Do not spend precious energy trying to bend it to your will. If it isn't a friendship, you won't make it one by standing in it and demanding that it be one. What do you do, how do you act in honesty, fidelity, peace, patience, kindness, self control, faith hope and love? Is this action in futility? It's standing naked in a dry tub. You won't get clean, you won't be refreshed, and dinner is going to burn on the stove. You won't be clean and you won't be fed! That's what God wants, right? You won't feel sunshine, fresh air, or rain. You'll be in the tub. How to do better? Get out de tub, foo.
Move around in life freely. Use things for their purpose, stop trying to change everything. God places what you need right where it needs to be for you. Let yourself be. Stop trying to be someone you aren't. Stop trying to be anyone. Just be. God made you. Stop trying to change that to suit other people, or even yourself. Want change? Get out the tub, foo.
profound !
