If I want to be a writer I have to write. That's it. I don't have to be well-dressed (though I'd like to be), I don't have to be at the right place at the right time (though that is always nice), I don't have to learn more than I already know (though that is a wonderful thing). If I don't write, I'm not a writer. I can't publish if I don't write. I won't feel better if I don't get out of the funk. I won't get out of the funk if I just sit here.
